“He established a testimony in Jacob
and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers
to teach to their children,
that the next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
so that they should set their hope in God
and not forget the works of God,
but keep his commandments;…”
Psalms 78:4-7
Ministries and Work
About
Born and raised in NYC, Jane was called to New England after God changed her life during college. She received her M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and currently serves as the lead pastor for Presence Church, the english-speaking congregation at North Boston Korean UMC in Andover, MA. Jane also serves as the executive director of ARISE Ministries, a regional non-profit that serves the next generation of the Korean Church of New England. Her prayer is that the new generation would encounter the life-changing Jesus that set her free.
Jane is also a researcher. Currently, she is the Director of Applied Research at the Emmanuel Gospel Center. Jane is passionate about the importance of qualitative and quantitative research in the greater church of America and how research can be used to build up the Church by better informing its future. Of her past work, she is known for her Louisville-funded pastoral study project, HANA. Outside of research, Jane has varied previous experience in non-profit development and engagement, both in national non-profits and higher-ed institutions.
In her free time, Jane considers jazz and interior design as her safe place. She is an avid appreciator of coffee and a huge fan of the New York Knicks.
